The Feast

We explored the idea of future food in terms of what type of nourishment will be left for us, and created a vision of the types of nutrition we will consume in the near future.
Considering nature’s exploitation and agricultural fatigue, we fed the AI-relevant nutrition and sustainability articles and asked them to predict which raw materials will be suitable for human consumption in the next 100-500 years.
Based on the results obtained, we asked the AI to create recipes and serving suggestions, including content and visual appeal.
In a process called "training", 3 guiding questions were presented to the AI:
1. Regarding nutrition, what will be the components of our future diet?
2. From the list given, which recipes can be made from them?
3. What will this food look like (plate it for us)?
*All work components (except the clay tools) were generated by AI - content, sound, and images.
Installation
On a clay table in the center of the space, we placed 6 sets of dinnerware made of raw clay. Each set included a large plate, glass, bowl, and vase.
A (static) image of the dishes was projected onto each plate, and a barcode was attached to it. The visitors were invited to scan each barcode using the barcode scanner placed next to the table.
When the barcode was scanned, the voice of the AI was heard in the space - it read the ingredients list of the dish, and described the method of preparation and the form of serving.
At the same time, the images of all the dishes changed. since each dish was made up of several images, which include the stages of preparation - a kind of stop-motion “video” was created for each dish, and one could watch the dish “in the making” on the plate.
