‘Works and Days’ Exhibition

The Tel Aviv Biennale
of Crafts and Design 2026

Curation: Henrietta Eliezer Brunner ; Galit Gaon | Photos by ReactionTime Collective

A time-transcending journey between an archaeological past and potential futures.

At its core is a clay vessel functioning as a time capsule, activated by frequencies that embody knowledge beyond visual perception.

Clay, sound, and digital code weave together in an act of preserving collective knowledge and giving rise to alternative memories.

The artwork integrates two mediums: a physical clay vessel and an interactive digital application. They function as a single entity where the physical matter serves as the body, and the application acts as its virtual extension.

Future Archaeology without Artifacts

The exhibition is the 10th stop on the journey of "ZUMU" in Kibbutz Bror Hayil . Presenting more than 60 sensory-blending artworks by guest and local artists, which deal with "gathering" and the special role of the kibbutz dining hall as a place where one receives nourishment for the body and food for the soul.

Installation & Interaction

At the center of the installation is a clay vessel with three tubes and two internal speakers. The interaction of their distinct frequencies inside the vessel produces a third, constantly shifting frequency, creating an immersive soundspace and physical vibrations for approaching visitors.

A nearby QR code allows visitors to record and contribute their unique voiceprints via a digital application. These voiceprints are integrated into the archive in real time, directly altering the sound.

Together, the physical vessel and the digital application form a unified artwork where the audience acts as active co-creators.
